Benington Cake Book

Many vistors to the village of Benington who have enjoyed afternoon teas in the Parish Hall have asked for the recipes of the cakes they have enjoyed, and this is how this book came into being.

The recipes have been given by the ladies of Benington and their friends. All have been tested and tasted, most are simple and easy, with the 'All-in-One' method proving to be very popular.

The money raised from the book went towards the rebuilding of the Parish Hall Annex which was built in 1918 for the servicemen returning from the Great War.

The building was in constant use until it had to be demolished in 2007. Now rebuilt, the plaque commemorating the servicemen is once again on display.

The book is available in the village at the price of £5.

Copies can be ordered with a postage and packing charge of £1.45 by contacting the following email address
